Records Bar B Que 2325 Lancaster Rd.

I stopped by another BTW former students place of business yesterday. As usual the visit was great. It felt so good to walk into Records and see the children of Barbara Record ,working and keeping the family tradition going. The meat is so good and the potato salad is like "Aunt Sweetie" used to make,it's to die for. When in the Oak cliff area stop by or do as I do make special trip its worth the gas They maintained even when DART almost put them out of business with rail line right in their front door and took some property.Support business owned by all former Bulldogs of BTW.

  • I remember Alvin and Willie Record at BTW and at Papa-Dad BQ on Hall.

Is it just me, but everytime I eat some Records BBQ.....I'm reminded so much ... how good Papa Dad's BBQ tasted. Always some yum yum good BBQ. Sometimes I might go out of my way to Records BBQ in Oak Cliff to eat some of that good ole BBQ. Is anybody drooling yet! For those who live to far away.....you can catch that SoWest round trip flight to Red Bird-Oak Cliff and be back home before the 6:00 pm news. Ha Ha Ha

  • Betty, I didn't know all the history of Records Bar B Que. I do know that when I have an opportunity Records it's what I'm having. They stay open late even tho they don't have to And what about that peach cobbler? I may have to go to Oak Cliff today. OMG!
  • It just make you feel good to go there after so many years and see the kids keeping the business alive and quality of product remain good or better. As you said when I walked in saw her daughter it reminded me of when Barbara would be back there working and looking up from that window while working years ago.
  • I second the motion ,I was there last week,I couldn't help from saying to the daughter, you are back there looking like Barbara. The Bar-Be Que great and the service is just as good. When it come to supporting our former classmate businesses. I can do that.
