Thanks big brother for that song by the Impressions...It is one of my favorite when Dwight and I were dating. It really brought back romantic memories. Thanks for the memories. You are so truly special to me and my family...and love you dearly.

City and State I Live In:
Desoto, Texas
About Me:
I am a Christian forever, and a Christian Minister by God's grace!
My second passion is music, and I have a small home recording studio [24 tracks].
I coach track & field (private school). My runners have gone to the TAPPS State Track Meet each of my 6 years coaching them and were District Champions five of those years. Our relay team is the 2009 Division 1A 4X100 Meter Relay State Champion!!!
Musical tastes are Gospel, jazz, smooth vocalists (especially singing love songs), James Brown, all things Motown, all things Stax, Philly Soul, EVERYthing Christmas, & doowop, but I appreciate a broad spectrum of good music.
Favorite singer: Nat King Cole (don't even try to change my mind!)
All of my children are very involved in music and each one is multi-instrumental.
My oldest son, Galen, Jr., in auditions for the promotional teenage band created by the makers of Orange Crush soda, won the saxophone competition and travelled the country with the Orange Crush Band in the Winter and Spring of 1984-85.
My second son, Ike, is a multi-instrumental musician and music minister for two churches, and creates great recordings in his home studio Housecoat Productions for a stream of clients.
My third son, Anse, graduated from Prairie View A&M University where he was recruited for track and field. He has written a tribute song about the Hurricane Katrina tragedy that his brother Ike produced, arranged and played all instruments on, which has gotten very good response.
My daughter, Akua, a University of Houston graduate, trained with Carl Lewis and other olympians at U of H where she won the Long Jump at the MOUNT SAC Relays in California as a collegian. Her husband was an All-American sprinter at U of H who powered many of their conference and national 4X100 Relay victories. ("Caution, speedy grandkids.")
My speedy grandson Galen III was All-District linebacker at Woodrow Wilson in the class of 2008, and now plays cornerback for the University of Houston Cougars. He's finally considering my advice to run track there!! {Halleleujah!}
At last count I had fourteen (14) grandchildren.
I am daily growing in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
