Our schoolmate Homer Johnson has improved Dramatically, Fred Walker reported, and we consider that an answer to our serious prayers! Early this Saturday evening I called Methodist and he has not yet been discharged, but his good friend Fred gave a glowing report that Homer's eyes and spirit brightened up noticeably when he heard many of us are praying for him.

Homer's room number is 5151 at Methodist Hospital at 1441 N. Beckley Avenue at Colorado in Oak Cliff. Please keep praying for Homer's complete recovery and his attaining strength even greater than before he was hospitalized.

Deborah Young shouted --- "HALLELUJAH!!" ~~ "THANK YOU JESUS!" -- and so did many of us!!

A plaque almost identical to this met me coming in and going out at my front door growing up as a kid and teenager. It daily and silently grew a needed faith that has helped me through every stage of life. Mama knew what she was doing placing it there!

Thank God that He answered our prayers and faith for Homer ... as we would rejoice in Him answering them for us should we ever need "critical condition" prayers from each other!!

Words seem not even enough at a time of rejoicing like this, as one issue Homer faced was more seriously life-threatening than some of us may have imagined.

" LORD GOD YOU ARE WORTHY TO BE PRAISED FOREVER AND EVER!!!! "

  • Homer, "HANG TUFF" ...
  • The prayers of the righteous availeth much.  With strong prayers like those I know Homer is covered.  God never fails.  I know He is in the healing business and He is watching over Homer. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  Homer is covered!!!
  • Jesus...Jesus...Jesus...I just saw Homer last month at the Meet and Greet night, and I thank you for allowing him to be present so that "I/We"  could touch him...not knowing that his body was ailing, but just to be in his presence was a "blessing" within itself. He knew his purpose for being there was to "reminiscence" with classmates and to touch and hug and shake hands with some of his friends that he had not seen in years. And for that....I thank you for giving him/us that "moment."  So right now Jesus...I echo some of the excerpts that were prayed by my two Brothers, Fred and Galen, because "you" said that when we pray together... brings "unified power" into the room... and our campus website is "also" our "praying room" for healing.  So I echo 'excerpts from Galen's prayer: "joining in the petition voiced from the heart by Fred, who has continually been Homer's close friend and 'helper. We love You and trust You, Father, and we thank you for hearing our pleas."  Now echoing excerpts from Fred's prayer:   "we come to you dear Lord in the humblest way we know how, [I say...yes Lord Jesus] a pleading heart ,a sincere believe , a trust in your power and  faith larger than a mustard seed. We ask dear Lord in the name of Jesus our savior that your will be done." And I say: AMEN and let it be Done!
  • In Jesus' mighty name, Father in heaven, we join our collective faith in the spirit of love for you and trust in your power, and your love and our love for Homer...joining in the petition voiced from the heart by Fred, who has continually been Homer's close friend and helper. Thank you for showing your miracle-granting healing power as a glorious testament to men and women everywhere and to medical staff in amazement, that nothing is impossible with God! We love You and trust You, Father, and we thank you for hearing our pleas.
  • God you know  Homer's needs ,we know you are able , Homer believe you can ,we believe in your will . We are  witnesses to your grace and mercy , We believe in your word .We come to you dear Lord in the humblest way we know how , a pleading heart ,a sincere believe , a trust in your power and  faith larger than a mustard seed . We know that it was your grace that made it possible  for Homer to arrive at the  ICU   ,we are asking for that same grace Dear Lord on his return trip back home . Let him know he's not alone ,touch him with your Holy spirit ,take away all worry give him the courage, and wisdom to know that all powers are in your hands. We ask dear Lord in the name of Jesus our savior that your will be done.
