MEMBERS FELLOWSHIP NIGHT

I am seeking your suggestion. What can do to get a greater participation from our 325 members. Do you think one night a week would work .Should it be once a mouth ,where we all come together at a designate time if it only  to say hello . You don't do computers ,you know someone who does , you are a member. We need members to do your  part to help keep this great sight alive .If you don't care to participate in the activities ,your presence would be appreciated .Some of us are not on the computer every day . I understand that but what can we do to have a members fellowship night or hour . Let me hear from some of your creative minds .Invite a member night, the regulars be responsible for having three members online, contest night ,prayer night , preachers night ,  a certain group host night .Please come share your ideals. Let's do something to make the busies man alive a little more busy . Once your  suggestions have been heard, Galen can make them happen. Let's set a small goal of having 30 members online at the same time ,we can do it working together .

Well thanks Carolyn,

I find it very interesting that Herman Cain continues to soar in the polls and has no respectable warchest of which to speak of to mount a serious campaign for the Presidency.  While at the same time, the other runners don't have the numbers, and would lose to Mr. Obama.  We are in some strange times, and Cain is a mystery, but a Black man nonetheless.

That also a good idea Clyde.  We need to really be involved in this election, if we weren't before.  Herman Cain just might be the Repubs candidate. So regardless of party affiliation or candidate preference, it would be good to know the difference to make a our vote COUNT.

My suggestion would be to designate a day to have discussion on Politics in our Chat Room. We have a black President, and so for a black front runner in opposition to Mr. Obama.  This could very well turn out to be a black on black election to the highest position in the land in 2012, something worth following and talking about.

I have three members committed to joining in at a given time .  Let me show you how easy it will be to get 30 member online at the same time. All we have to do is start with these ten people getting three each. Carolyn,Cassie,Gloria,Deborah, Bonita,Galen ,Charles ,Robert ,Mayberry, and Myself. Those efforts alone would give us 40 . The unexpected dropping by alone with a member email contact blast can get us past 50 .Another ideal write a note and email all your members who you are friends with. Its alright if we have some of the same friends ,our objective is to get them out. Think of the regulars I didn't name like,Dorothy ,Atwell, Emily, Evelyn , Teresa ,Amatullah ,Rose and all the new members who are looking for guidance . Imagine the joy it will bring to see our site lite up , I waited over a year  before I saw our site reach  double digit and when it did it was very exciting .Another Ideal Dr. Principal post it on the event page and let those who will join us online  commit .

#1. Have a Roaring 20's event at the Embassy Suites On Stemmons or at a Fellowship Hall somewhere, on Sat. April 2, 2012 as April School/Fools Night. Only Finger foods would be served and have an "open bar"....Time: 6:00 pm till 10:00 pm. #2. I like the "Poetry Corner" idea of Carolyn's....'speak easy'  written forum/platform. #3. A Contest: Guess "How many 'Red Beans' or 'Jelly beans' is in the Pot? The winner is presented with a 'Jar" of raw pinto beans or jelly beans with a Red ribbon tied around the Jar at a Furr's Luncheon outing on a Saturday. #4.We all have favorite scriptures and we need more different scriptures to add to our daily lives. #5. What about "Recipes Pass Along?" Have a Blog Post to post all Recipes. #6. What about setting up a Blog Post to place "all" Birthday Wishes. Galen can still place the "notification that it's their Birthday 'Today or Tomorrow' along with their pictures and music selection still on the Main Page in the "same place, but everybody would have to go to the Blog Post to post their birthday wishes to the classmates. (All ideas and suggestions could be discussed in the Chat Room on a designated day and time.) We all just need to "get" in the Chat room first, to get this rolling. Smile...does that sound like a plan Buddy?

I think that those subjects you mentioned, could all have a nite for chatting and interacting on that topic alone. I think it would be good to dialogue about scriptures and how each of us interpret them.  No wrong answers, just input from what we see as our beliefs.  Then one nite for poetry, one nite for quizzes...we can really have fun with this.
