Oh what tangled webs we weave, when first we practice to deceive!!
OH WHAT AN AWESOME GOD WE HAVE! The stories and testimonies have revealed your strengths, your triumphs, your walks and views, that have transpired in your lives...leaving one to say THANK YOU ALMIGHTY LORD, as we arise from our sleep. And ss Doris stated, each day brings a new beginning of things planned for us. We just have to focus and "open" up our hearts... to hear them.
Thank you Pastor Professor G. Ollison for bringing forth this story to the site. Like Dot said: "who would have 'THOUGHT' that we would be sharing JESUS with each other?
I say: "Dot, surprises come each day...and I look for all of the wonderful surprises."
God's Mercy and Grace is endless and eternal, which we don't deserve, but thanks to JESUS that He knew we would not be able to live by GOD's standards so HE came taught, bled, and died for our sins even before we born, what a MIGHTY God we serve. Did any of you think that we would be sharing JESU witheach other? Be honest! Even though we grew up knowing that GOD was and is REAL, because momma and grandma made sure of that. I just thank GOD for HIS Mercy and Grace, because HE has allowed my son to live to be 52, doctors said he would only live to be 21, and that was a medical guess for them, he's mentally challenged and may other medical problems but by GOD's Mercy and Grace I'm still here to care for him. I never thought I'd live to be 75y/o, but that shows you how good GOD is, and how HE takes care of HIS children.THANK YOU, LORD!! I owe it all toYOU, for our lives are only a test fo our Faith. Stay faithful people and never cease to pray.
Remember this: God made me, Jesus saved me and The Holy Spirits Guides me.
Have a blessed day and spirit filled life.
God's Mercy and Grace is unmeasurable. Some of you may not be aware that God gives us new Mercies and Grace each day that He awakens us. This is one thing that I thank Him for after thanking Him for allowing me to see another day. He loves us and is better to us than we are to ourselves. I thank Him for being my Heavenly Father and for His Son dying on Calvary for my sins and the sins of the world, so that we can one day see His face. I thank Him in the name of Jesus for blessing me and my family the way He has. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one and we are truly blessed to have only one true God.
Gloria...I too thank God for going before me. leading me.
Deborah, I heard momma and grandmomma ask for grace and mercy all the time. As a child, I would even ask for the same, but not really fully understanding the power of the provider of grace and mercy. Let me leave this along, 'cause I can really talk about this thing that I really KNOW...... His Grace and Mercy...til later
My Mother used to always say..."Lord have mercy..." and I didn't know what she meant when she said it or why she said it, but as I grew closer to the Lord and his reading of his sweet words of guidance and obedience, I have come to realize that yes, my Mother said those words and she meant them, because she knew exactly what they meant and the power behind those words would bring her peace. Many times, when me or my sisters were very sick, [especially my sister Winnie who had Sickle Cell], she would pray and say: "Lord have mercy." Now I say those same words, but with a clearer understanding and meaning and definition, because I know that it is by his Grace and His Mercy that I have been saved; when he hung upon the Cross for me and you. And for that....[tears are falling right about now]..."Lord please have mercy on my soul"....
Thank you Galen, for sharing this incredible story with us.... I thank God for the path He has ordered me to walk... and for His "Amazing Saving Grace"!!
I thank the Lord for His Grace in this story. This sister could have suffered seriously for the sin of another. But, Grace and Mercy said no!
Grace is getting something you don't deserve. Mercy is not getting what you do deserve.
In God’s eyes, sin is sin. However, in man’s eyes, the recognition of sin is relative; it is inversely proportional to one’s indulgence of it. The less likely one has indulged with a particular sin, the greater the rejection is of it.
The greater one has indulged with a particular sin, the less likely the rejection and recognition of it. As an example, the act of prostitution is considered a "greater" sin than the act of adultery in the eyes of some men. To be homosexual is not pleasing to God and there are those serious consequences as a result of that act of abomination.
The word of God tells us that being good is not the same as being forgiven of your sin and those who fail to recognize that Jesus is God and that they are sinful will not experience God’s Grace and Mercy. As sinners, we deserve punishment. But, by God's mercy, He withholds judgment.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
By God's mercy, we escape hell. But by God's grace, we receive everlasting life.
