I remember Mr. Buford he was a friend of my great aunt Hattie and a coz of one of her friends. I never heard them say anything about his military time. As you all know when grown folks was talking we left the room, they did not understand how important this knowledge could have been to me about black history

I remember him also Mary Frances, never realizing how important he would be to us.....Not just Mr Buford!!
