  • Oh my gosh! I recall the 7th grade prom!  What fun and how funny we were.  My first date -- because my escort's father took us and picked us up.  Wow.
  • I haven't heard but I will do some research. I would like to know what nursing home he is in and maybe talk to him o his wife in person. Please let me know of any info to facilitate that which you may get.

Any film of any kind of our times or our school - even if it's shaky-like-crazy - is a treasure of BTW and North Dallas-Arlington-Park-Elm-Thicket-North-Park-White-Rock-Carrollton (where the Rainwaters and others were from)  history. I am trying to re-find my 1961 8mm film of our B.F. Darrell team at the City Elementary Track Meet, and our 7th-grade "prom" that same yea with clips of us clowning with Mr. Brigham.

  • Does anyone happen to know if any former staff or students from BTW were able to get any film that was Mr. Gray's.  I understand he is in a nursing home, and his wife does not want visitors. Pretty bad condition he's in, I suppose. Somebody hollar!
  • Yes, I loved those capes, too.  I love too the way our majorettes managed to twirl those skirts to show the color on the reverse side.  Too cool!
  • I'm going to do some research, Carolyn. I've found through hanging with schoolmates at the office and other gatherings that our fellow Bulldogs are a prime source of such knowledge. Now...to get lots of us to share that info online would be GREAT!! -- Wish I could find the key to making that happen consistently among all of us! ... Just 20 seconds to add a name or fact -- even if it's a guess it will spark someone else's memory closer to the correct info, is what I've found in our talks in person. I hope we're all past any computer, internet, and website fears that may have hindered us from sharing earlier on.
  • What a treasure.   I hope we have some history to go with the picture.  i.e., names, band leader, etc.

  • You were, Hazel, like we were in 62-66 when marching and concert competition wins and trophies started flowing in. But I've got to say ... those capes here made the uniforms juuuust a cut above didn't they!?
  • And I thought we were tough in '69! Ha!
