Hey Cathy, so glad to meet you, and very happy that you are back with the BTW peeps.... LOL I'm Gloria Toliver, a product of the Roseland Homes short north Dallas projects, and a 1958 graduate of BTW. I see Galen has already given you a sample of how wonderful it is here, and all the wonderful happenings that take place... and just remember, once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog so share some of your fond memories with us from school and the neighborhood. We'd like to see more pics, and post as many as you like. Meet us on campus and see what the happenings are you'll enjoy hearing from Deborah Young, and Fred Walker, they are the King and Queen of comedy here, trust me they will have you laughing for days. So again, Welcome Cathy, and enjoy !!
Cathy you are welcome and it's great having you join us. I'm sure you've already found Brother-in-law Richard Murray who joined the reunion recently, as well as our Short North Dallas brother Randy Griffin and others you know. You are just as much of the BTW family as we who did graduate from "Dear Ole Booker T" and with Andrew ('62) & Cynthia whom I remember ('68) as your siblings, we're likely to enjoy some golden nuggets from you via memories you can share with us. (That dirt & grass in the water memory from your marching band "little sister water-girl" adventures is already a classic in my hall of memories! ...and Charles Mitchell's too, I'd guess. LOL) Thanks for speaking words we who cherish our "Gre[a]t" {as our esteemed Dr. Patton would say -- the 'a' usually silent} and legendary institution love to hear -- "the great BTW Mighty Bulldogs"!
........ Enjoy the memories and re-connections! ~ Galen
Welcome to the Booker T. Washington online campus, my friend Cathy! Glad you joined us and we hope you enjoy the sharings, archived pictures, and other content to come as we reminisce, recall, and reflect in a plethora of ways our history and happy times surrounding our school, neighborhoods and friends. ~ If you need any help at any time I'm just an email away....or just ask "out loud" in a Status message on the front page (dubbed "Main Street" years ago by Carolyn Hill Morris) or a post or private message to someone else, and chances are someone with better experience or knowledge will have or know what you seek. -- Enjoy
