Thanks Gloria, that means a lot. Friendships these days can be so factured, but, are one of the most valuable treasures one prosess. I value mine deeply. Thanks for being my bff.
I hope there is no doubt in your mind of how much I love "You" and Chucky".... and our BTW family adores you too..... and continually keep Chucky lifted to God in prayer... The two of us have shared so many identical situations in this friendship, no wonder we are like identical twins, "attached at the hips"... So we must continue to make time for each other, not only in words, but in doing... Speaking words of kindness is so simple, and it takes nothing away from our busy schedules, nor does it cost anything......
The Christmas graphics we are choosing to display, are so beautiful, even after being up past 1:00am, sometimes 4 or 5:00am, when I awaken.. I hurriedly rush to our Main Street to enjoy the view.... Hope everyone else feels the same way...
I Thank God, for the time he has extended for Chucky and continue to pray for his complete recovery!!
Gosh, I love this...but im getting all misty, it happens every year this time, but this year is harder. It was on the 20th of Dec. last year, a lot of Bulldogs were headed to Brooklyns to hear a jazz set. I think it was Alvin's. I was on my way too. Fred, Charles, Galen, Cassie, Gloria and some others were all going there to support our school and classmate. And I got the call, Chucky (son) was being rush to the hospital. He and I are the only two left of our immediate family, I was stunned. My world changed that nite. I thank God for my loving, prayerful Bulldog family. For as crazy as I am already....that yellow bus( the short yellow bus) would have had to pick me up and deposit me in Terell....for real. Chucky's still in Williamsburg Nursing home, and is about the same. He's still not speaking clearly or loudly, still w/feeding tube....but thanks to God's GRACE, I can still see him him SMILE BIG, when he sees his mama. Thats God Love on display. I love you guys!!!
Dwight and I spent many nights...during our "courting days" listening to Ray Charles. I love me some Ray Charles, especially during this time of the year.
