KB POLK - circa 1957

K.B. Polk students after an apparent program of poetry. I recognize BTW schoolmates Sherry Thompson, 1st row far left (who provided this picture), Ronnie Mays (my cuz), 1st row 3rd from left, William Murray - 2nd row middle in dark suit, and Leslie Faye Wells - two girls to the right from William.

  • Hi Hattie Florence, Is that Leslie Faye nx to Linda Sue? Study that photo that you have and maybe we can identify more... I was thinking I had Ms Jacobs @ Booker T, but I think I had her confused with Ms. Hogan @ Booker T. I really think we are doing great to recall what we have. Lets keep our mind working..
  • I have this picture, too! Can only ID the following: 2nd row: 3rd Carol Grant, 5th Talmadge Molett,
3rd row: (right side) Lonnie Edwards, Nancy Wilburn, and Shirley Twiggs. Teachers on right are
Ms. Bell, right front; Mr. Taylor (middle) and Ms. Jacobs (rear). This is to add to Cassie's listing.......

  • This a wonderful school photo that captured the gleam in the eyes and bright smiles of students reaching for the dream and promise. When they left K.B. Polk and on to Booker T, is where I met most or became schoolmates to.
I ECHO WHAT FRED STATED......I CAN ID SOME,BUT ANYONE WHO CAN ID ALL..........MORE PRECIOUS!
