James Vicks still works for Raytheon (TI). Only company he has ever worked for since getting out of the military. We were together yesterday. I do respond to threads sent to my email box and visit the campus often. I am the youngest (I think) on the campus but I have quite an extensive memory of everyone, including Brer Rabbit. ha ha! I remember your Mom and sister, Cheryl, very well and occasionally would see her around. Anyway, just got off the phone with him so check your email for his contact info.
lol...No ma'am Sheryl, not me, I will not take that challenge, James was always quick; and do me a favor, tell him Clyde C. Coger, Jr. said hello, will ya.....ty (thank you)
Now, Ellainia graduated from SMU but did not run track. She looks like my sis (Linda Rush-Vicks) Class of 1967. My bro-n-law danced the nite away then later I found out he had taken swing lessons with his daughter, Angela. I couldn't even dance for watching him swinging around. He knows every line dance out there so men........take the challenge with another 65??? yr old.
Wow! I agree with all posters, Vicks looks well and has a great family. While I cannot answer that question Galen, I do know that James Vicks was the 880 man at BTW...Only Boo was faster and maybe Garland, the good thing was we didn't run against each other, but as a Team in competition with our rivals.
Here's a question: Does the 2 mile relay record Vicks was a part of still stand?
