Deborah you are right when you said Homer's condition was a lot more serious than what we knew.Not to get to deep into his medical situation , I will only speak on one of his conditions.He was bleeding at the brain,our father the creator of mankind stop that leakage ,and directed that blood back into those vessel and answer our prayers . You didn't know Homer's specify conditions but God did and heard your heart felt prayers.We serve an awesome God !
Galen, isn't it so ironic, that the pictures that our Mother's placed on our walls...[they were there for a "reason"....and now all of their meanings/purpose came to premonition, as we grew older and stronger in our Faith... that this is why our parents kept Jesus Christ "in our faces" all of our life. And as we grew wiser...and built on our Faith...we realized that Momma placed those pictures on the wall(s) for a reason. Every classmate can proabably contest/say that they too had some sort of picture or plaques hanging on their walls of a picture(s) of God...with his printed Words...his Disciplines at the Last Supper...Angels with Wings...(which now all of these wall plaques and pictures can now be purchased in the "color of our skins"...that we can all relate to). But in our house..."We will Serve the Lord." [That was just one of the many plaques we had. We even had a white picture of Jesus hanging from the cross over our beds...and even a picture of Christ with a "portrait lamp light" that was attached to the picture in our living room...you know the kind I'm talking about...but this was done so that we could have a "spotlight" on him/Jesus when we turned the ceiling lights off. Just pay attention...things are put in "place(s)" for a reason....and I believe this.
A plaque almost identical to this met me coming in and going out at my front door growing up as a kid and teenager. It daily and silently grew a needed faith that has helped me through every stage of life. Mama knew what she was doing placing it there!
Thank God that He answered our prayers and faith for Homer ... as we would rejoice in Him answering them for us should we ever need "critical condition" prayers from each other!!
Words seem not even enough at a time of rejoicing like this, as one issue Homer faced was more seriously life-threatening than some of us may have imagined.
" LORD GOD YOU ARE WORTHY TO BE PRAISED FOREVER AND EVER!!!! "
The Power of the Lord is in this house...in this house...in this house...the Power of the Lord is in this house...and "ALL" of our "UNIFIED PRAYERS" were HEARD! Buddy, your "stewardship" is everlasting. You are our Keeper of our Strength and I personally thank you. Continue to Guide us and Lead us in the Path of "Righteousness" for HIS.... Wow, this brought tears to my eyes. Thanks so much for the update and to God be the Glory. He is God all by himself and can do do what no other power can do. If you don't mind, please share with him that I, the one he let put lipstick on by the shine on his shoes, sends her prayers and love. Just happy that he continues to be a persistance fighter, may God continue his grace, mercy and blessings.
I just left the hospital visiting Homer . From Tuesday night until just a few minutes ago .I just saw a change greater than night from day . God has heard and answer our prayers and for that I have to say thank you Jesus . Thank you campus for your words of grace and encouragement . Homers eyes lite up when I told him the campus was praying for him . My eyes lite up when I saw the progress he had made since yesterday ,not to mention Tuesday and Wednesday .The good new is he's schedule to go home tomorrow . Thank you and hear me loud and clear God Is GOOD ALL THE TIME !
Lord Jesus...he needs you oh...Homer needs you...every hour...he needs you...we pray to you our Precious Lord that you be with Homer at this moment...in this minute...in this "HOUR." Hand in your "unchanging" hands, and heart to heart...these prayers come to you in "silence" and some even "verbally" and in "written" form. So we come to you in "all" Shapes and Forms and Angles...but heal...touch his pain...touch his ailing body...touch his soul...touch his heart and give him "Assurance." Dear Lord...heal...with your power...and "we" will give you All The Praise. Amen
Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant,whose name is hidden in my heart.. for whom we beg the aid of Thy mercy, that, with his bodily health restored, he may give thanks to Thee Through Christ our Lord. Amen
God I just had an opportunity to renew acquaintances with Homer Johnson at '61 class 50th Reunion. He was so filled with gusto of life with the always big smile on his face. We had a wonderful time. He is such a warm person, let him not suffer. I know he's got this jest for life. Please, if its your will, relieve him of his pains while you Christ, our Lord, restore him to, if not better than, his previous stance in life. This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
