  • Why don't you guys join us in the chat room sometimes.  The conversation can get very lively.  We once had good times there.  Talking to each other and at each other.  There's so many here that will tell you they would just sit on the sidelines and laugh till it hurt.  It was FUN. No hurtful words, just digs at each other..and then it might come to serious discussions.  Everyone has an opinion.  We just want them to be shared with us.

  • There she is...MISS BOOKER T. WASHINGTON.  There she is Queen of "64.  LOL

Gloria, you made a very pretty Queen.  I too love the way you share your love for your sisters.

I hope to meet you soon.

  • Galen:  I just love you so much!  You too are an inspiration to all of our campus classmates of many years ago.  You know Galen, we don't know the future, but we do know our past.  No one can take away the past...and that I am grateful. The Lord blessed me with family, friends and most importantly....LIFE.  So while I am still present and accounted for...smile...here, as we all journey through this earthly life...we must embrace our past...for it sets presidence for our future.  Keep the spirit flowing with your writings and your inspiration to us all...for in order to have a vision, one must include the whole body and exude enthusiasm...and that you have done for me all campus classmates.
  • Deb, that true deep sisterly love you have for your sisters is SUPER refreshing. Just reading your words shared here and elsewhere tends to mentally transport me back to a time when that kind of family love was WAAAYY more common than it is today. Keep on enriching us with that special gift you have, as we keep on enjoying the Young Sisters in our lives!!
  • That's my sister ya!  I remember that day as if it was yesterday.  She was so excited and full of life! She was so happy to have won the votes of her peers. She and my mother went to the store to purchase her "red wool" two-piece suit with an off white "feathered hat."  The hat fit snugly on her head and the feathers were integrated/entwined into her hair as she smoothed the feathers into her hair to flow/swoop going to the left, just like her bangs on this picture...can you all picture what I'm talking about? That was so creative of her! The feathers laid oh so nicely on her head.  My sister has taught me many wonderful things about life and how to treat people.  She embraces life with laughter and joy!  And let me not forget...she still walks tall...even though she is 6'1" with her shoulders back...and her back arched...isn't she lovely?  Well done sis...well done.  Oh, and I love the "pearls."  Simply lovely...simply lovely!
