Thanks Galen for your continuous additional value.Photos will always speak volumes when
presented as history many of us was taught or lived and witnessed. Thanks for linking the
Patton Collection at UNT, I spent time there also, no luck retrieving photos digitally.

Chuck, Jet -- thanks for filling in those information blanks for us! I thought that was Mr. Jackson from Darrell in the back on the left, but I didn't remember him looking that young. He was probably barely into his 30's on this one. (You know his son Samuel joined us online last week.) The University of North Texas has a VERY large collection of photos in their J.L. Patton Collection I stumbled upon about 2 years ago. I don't recall if this B-team shot is in there, but I've gotten a few others and featured them here in the past. I'm going to create several pages of archived photos from that collection -- the UNT curator of that collection has already become an email acquaintance from the time I identified for her Mr. Foster Kilgore as the "unknown man" in THIS PICTURE. It also has jewels like this 1953 Dallas Morning News shot of a chemistry student (know him?).
I'm behind on tutorials for everyone, but this may be a good time to share that all members can create such pages by creating a Blog -- which is just like a big discussion diary on a subject anyone wants to talk about -- and showing pictures as well as comments in it.
Thanks Jet, you're right! I could not recall IDing Stanley Jones, who later went on to Tennessee
A&I State University as a defensive back. Al Jones later became a florist, with his shop on Maple
Ave.
I recognize Stanley Jones (far left on his knee) and Alphonso Jones(standing 3rd from the right).. they lived in Booker T. Addition where I was raised.
Where can I locate this archive,I spent hours looking monday for these type photos in the digital
Dallas Public library archive and D.I.S.D. offers no P.V.I.L. material. This is some "Great Stuff"
Galen, I believe your hunch is correct these guys were still at B.F.Darrell. Some faces look
familier, I hope I'm correct naming Freddy Edwards #11; Fred"Winky Dink"Walker and Mr.Sam
Jackson on the back row. I'll need help from others to refresh my memory with matching names
to faces.
This great picture came from BTW archives somewhere on the web, but I believe these guys were still at B.F. Darrell when it was taken. Anybody know for sure?

The start page link to that Patton Collection is http://texashistory.unt.edu/explore/collections/PAT/browse/ It says it contains 557 pictures.
