  • You are on target.  She's expresses herself so well for a young lady.  And Acon is featured in this version speaking on his hair experiences.   Do you remember when India Arie shaved her head bald?  People were wondering if she was out of her mind.  She explains why in the song.

  • That was were I was really coming from Bobie.  True, it isn't about his hair or his complexion...right...right...right, but it's what's in your Spirit...inner soul... or in your HEAD...knowledge... is really what matters! I haven't clicked on India Aire's song yet, but I'm sure it will be something close to what we're talking about. (I'll listen to it later and see if I'm on target...or close to being on target...hahaha.)

  • I hear you, Deb.  But it would be best if he's not judged by his hair or his complexion.  Hey, India Arie says it best...

  • You gooooooooooo Bobie!  I knew you still had it in you...hahaha.  Yeah, we still have a long way Baby to go to get past race relations. Tell your grandson...Snoop Dog [OMG...omg...omg...your words...but cute too.]...so tell him that, it's going to be alright...it's going to be alright, because now he can sing the song: "woof...who let the dogs out...woof...woof...who let the dogs out!"  Tell them it was Snoop Dog and he is bad to the bone...hahaha

  • Hey Deborah!  I used to go and cheerlead at all of Anthony's games and love love love doing it.  Since we are waaay up north the games are held almost in Oklahoma in little towns like Gainsville and Whitesboro (YIKES!)  And 1 or 2 were actually in OK.  Next year we will have more of a diverse mixture of ethnicities and cultures on the team and at the school.   Pray for the children who are in schools that may not be as sensitive in areas of race relations as they should be.

My grandson Anthony's 14 year old brother has been growing his hair and has been wearing  a huge afro   So this past weekend he got braids.  One of the male teachers asked him why didn't he get his hair cut instead of getting  braids.  This teacher says from now on he's going to call my grandson Snoop Dog.  omg Omg OMG!

  • Bobie....you need to get on the side line (put on) a "cheerleader uniform" on and cheer for your grandson...hahaha. (And I love the "red" uniform...lol)

    Let's go Anthony...hey...hey!

  • That's right.  You saw him play.  I have to say he's one of the best on the team and I'm not just saying that because he's my grandson.....

  • After seeing him play several times, it's clear that young man's got a college playing future ahead of him!
