All-time Black College football team With the news that the Black College Football Hall of Fame will be established in Atlanta, I have an opportunity to bring up a subject not discussed in this forum – who should belong on the all-time Black College football teams?

  • Chuck, I started chiming in on this topic the same day you created it, then did some research you inspired me to do and in so doing found that some names I had in mind -- like Buddy Young -- did not attend a HBCU. After getting side-tracked too long from the topic, I'm gonna jump in and probably show some ignorance in the process.

My inclusion is Ike Thomas from Bishop College, Drafted by the Cowboys in 1971 I believe.
    • Galen,
I'm sorry being late responding to your reply. I remember Ike Thomas, a good defensive back.
Some great coaches such as Jake Gaither(FAMU);Eddie Robinson(Grambing U) and Coach Fisher (Bishop) would lead my list, followed by a host of legends that played at HBCU's.How could I leave out Prairie View, who practically cornered the recruiting battle for the best talent in the state of Texas
