My goodness, there is a book out here waiting for someone to pen.
We lived across the street from Rev. Loud and enjoyed hearing Mr. Medina's childhood account
of his time at St Paul as well as at BTW waas very comforting to hear~
We need to collect a lot more of these blogs to preserve for generations to come.

Amen, Fred ... a powerful trip down memory lane for sure that captures the imagination and almost seems like watching a documentary movie just from hearing Benny's words about this history.
What a powerful interview .It was a jazz trip down memory lane.I really like the Dallas part and name dropping,of Dallasites people I know.Like Walter Winn,Big BO Thomas,Joe Johnson,Saul and others. Sonny Stitt one of my all time favorites. I still listen to Star Dust Part One &Part Two by Sonny Stitt.(CHECK IT OUT) I will be at the Tuesday Nite Jazz Set next week. What a great come back story Even talked my language when he said it was raining cats and dogs.
