Bulldog Family! Just in time for The Holidays, BTW's own John A. Lewis & his Trio will perform their great jazz sets Next Monday at Brooklyn's!

On the THIRD MONDAY of this month, December 20th, at BROOKLYN's on Lamar near Downtown Dallas!! After I wonderfully enjoyed November's "3rd MONDAY" live performance thanks to our schoolmate TERESA CATHERINE JOHNSON HILL, which featured Roger Boykin whom Teresa hooked me up with for my first time meeting him (what an awesome musician), I can tell you enthusiatically that you DON'T WANT TO MISS this! John Alvin played keyboard on half of the 4-hours of great jazz with Mr. Boykin and I listened with the biggest grin as he made 88 keys come alive with his fingers! 

On the last break before the night ended, Johnny and I talked joyfully for the entire time reminiscing about our years and teachers at J.W. Ray, B.F. Darrell, and Dear Old Booker T.  I never imagined when we started talking that John would seem to enjoy it as much as I was ... he's got a smile that lights up the room and every time we'd come to the end of one memory he would bring up another one. (I wish I'd had a camcorder!) 

>> Mark the date -- 2 Mondays from now -- there is no cover charge but bring $10 or so to enjoy some great food with your jazz enjoyment. It will be the least expensive GREAT TIME you have had in a long time !!!  In fact, make it a monthly thing. Blessings and Happy Holidays to all !  

BTW (By The Way), for those who don't know -- Johnny does look that young in person ..... no, really younger!
