  • Stop it Galen...I can smell the popcorn and hot dogs now.  I loved that smell when I stepped up to the State Theater window to pay. I could smell it even before I got to the corner. With the popcorn smelling and Pappa Dad's barbecue smelling...both aromas will never be forgotten. (Now give me a handful of some of your "burnt bean" peanut candies...ha, ha, ha.)...remember ?????
  • I've been searching for some time for a photo of the "State Theater", and thanks to Mr. Cecil Brown, came up with the best I've seen so. However, still looking for as many pictures of the State Theater that can be found and shared on this site.

Great Job Galen, I didn't know this was here, obviously I had my head in the sand when these nostalgic ads were posted.

  • Wow, this is something.   I think we do have a picture of the State Theatre in its Glory.  Its

    somewhere here in our pictures.

  • I wish we had a photo of the theatre in its prime.  That would be great.  Thanks for posting the tickets.
