You are probably right Deb. But there were times, when all affiliates to the performance were on the field.
CA...are those cheerleaders or majorettes? I thought only the majorettes were on the 'field' with the band...cheerleaders were on the sidelines...clarify this pic...maybe back then the cheerleaders were on the field?????
