Claudette, I'm just getting back from church and I saw Cheryl and I told her about my conversation with you about her. She too remembered you, BUT not by your last name...Hopkins. So I told her that I was sure that your last name was different, when you two where small girls. But she most definitely remembered you. Even the date of the picture taking. She took spoke highly of you and you being a wonderful artist.
Oh, in 2010, I was not on the BTW website. I started online here sometime in Dec. 2011. And I don't remember if I was at my church on the day that you were there...I probably was not at church.
Hey Deb, I know, I know. Cheryl and I have been friends since Phyllis Wheatley days. The year this picture was taken, December, 2010, I was a visitor at your Church on December 12. I remember the date because the next day was my birthday. I had lunch with Juanita and she was asking if I had seen you at Church (I didn't know you at the time). I do not know Nathan Wright. I went to school with Nathan Jones who is a very famous artist still living in the Dallas area (a Madison graduate). Cheryl was in Hollywood for many years, some acting and mainly voiceovers. Very talented, also a Madison graduate.
Hey Claudette and Galen, Cheryl Tyre is a church member of mine...Good Street Baptist Church. She has had many a performances at the Black Academy of Arts here in Dallas. She sings in our church choir and she has done many "dramatic" skits and single dialogues at our church. She is a talented speaker and "dramatic" actress to be reckoned with! She is a sweetie pie and we are so blessed to have her in our congregation and as a member of our church. Thanks for posting this picture, otherwise, I never would have known that you knew her if you had not posted this. Claudette: Since you too are an artist...do you know Nathan Wright, who is an artist. My husband went to school - Lincoln HS- with Nathan, and his sisters Greta & Phyllis and my family are very good friends.
