These guys were real role models for me before I even came to Booker T., when in 7th grade coach Charles Taylor at Darrell Elementary sent me to BTW each day to learn hurdling, and coach Hollie put me under the most patient, kind and knowledgable hurdles teacher and gentleman I could have imagined - Robert "Hawkeye" Simpson! That whole Spring was my introduction to how great it felt to feel adopted by a whole older team and its legendary coach!
