About Me:
I am a native Texan but did not graduate from BTW. I lived in Dallas West and was friends with many BTW grads. I am a under graduate of Grambling State University and received my Master degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. I was Drum Major of the world famous Tiger Marching Band while at Grambling. I taught for thirty-three years at Oliver Wendell Holme Junior High, Wilmer-Hutchins High School, Grand Prairie High School, Green B. Trimble Technical High School and O.D. Wyatt High School. I am at present a adjunct professor in the Fine Arts Department at tarrant County College's Northeast Campus. I also sing
1st tenor with the World renouned Turtle Creek Chorale, Dallas, Texas.
I would delighted to hear from any of the Bulldogs that remember knowing me from the "Ole School."

"Hey, James, my apologies for just now responding. Good to hear from you.
I've heard of the Turtle Creek Chorale on the news, but, never actually heard them sing. I bet that's something you really enjoy. Stay in touch.
James
Thanks for the best wishes on my birthday. May God bless you and your family.

Major in 1967 when Coach Rob brought James"Shack"Harris and Charlie Joiner
to dual Elldrige Dickey in Nashville. That had to be one of all time best games
in HBCU history! Future NFL players from both teams played in Hale Stadium that night will long be remembered. It was unfortunate the "BIG BLUE TIGERS" came up a few points short that night, but what a game it was.
