What a wonderful report of a valuable representation by Dr. Diane Miles of outstanding things of Miss Helen Butler pertaining to the rich BTW Bulldogs legacy. Were I not en route to Washington D.C. yesterday I would have experienced that blessing first-hand. Thank you Fred for keeping us apprised as usual of landmark and memorable events in the B.T.W. Bulldogs world. Thank you Diane for representing our sentiments in your inimitable excellent manner. God Bless you both and all of us richly!!

We celebrated the home going today of our own Miss Butler. The Chapel wasn't filled with a  lots of people, but it was filled with ,plenty of love ,admiration and respect.Normally when I attend a Funeral Church service , my blessing  come form Song,Prayers,or  the Sermon .Not this time my friends . This time my blessing came from the two minute remarks part of the program. Miss Diane Miles stepped up to the microphone honoring all  protocol ,even requesting, from the family more than  the two minutes alllotted for remarks.Once the family gave their approval ,the blessing began to flow, and flow and flow.Miss Miles respresented the Bulldogs with Class , eloquence ,and truthfulness. She so boldly embrace all that Miss Butler taught her. Miss Mile talked about the classroom to Culture exposure ,she increased the value of our  School Creed just by reciting it . She touch on the days of segregation and how Miss Butler still made sure her student got what we so rightfully deserved .Miss Miles used words so long that I won't try and spell them.Just knowing the exposure were there did me all the good in the world. I usally have a few words of expression at some homegoing celebration, but not this time . It had already been said and said in a way that the Pastor left his sermon many times to elaborate on what Miss Miles had already said, maybe he felt as I felt, that Miss Butler had already been Eulogize .We were blessed to have so many good teachers that helped shaped our lives. Seeing the result is well worth the wait . Thank you Miss Miles !

The grand and gorgeous Diane Miles!  You were leaving Booker T as I was arriving but I remember your class act from way back then!

Thanks for sharing the lovely photos of Kevin, his lovely family and you.  I'm quite positive that Kevin's father would be extremely proud of his son and grand kids.

      Love always,

      APyburn
