Thanks for that needed update, Bill!! I think many of us are ready to get directions on how to best take action at every turn to help teachers and the system. Don't know how I recalled Sunset H.S. in error... forgive that error, my friend. Keep us posted on best actions to take in educational issues. God bless!

Hey Bill, like I told Bernadette last night, I was impressed with her trying to round up a vote/show of hands  from the Trustees to "agree" that the Renaming of BTW would not happen, but they couldn't even agree to that.  So that only shows me that they are not "quite" convinced that the "conversation/idea of still selling to the highest bidders...and I hope it is Coors...hahaha...that they may still have it on the back burner to come back to at a later date.  I had very "mixed" emotions about that. (But we must not be caught sleeping.)  And I do understand why I have mixed emotions...first..the Trustee board doesn't even know what "their" agenda is all about.  Carla Ranger put it in their faces.  And the drawn out question from Bernadette about how many computers would be placed in each class room...was way drawn out.  The attorney couldn't even answer her "simple" question.  But for the Trustee board to allow this s-l-o-w and boring conversation to play out, made no sense. All they needed to do is to 'table it' or put it on hold for another meeting date. And if I were Bernadette, if she has been trying to get computer numbers from one of the attorneys since 2008...she should have 'excalated' her concern to her Boss, to find out why no responses is being received. And to resolve this long time issue of the attorneys not responding back to her concerns, what happen to dropping by someone's office..unannounced...to get a response? Did she really use all of her resources...I think not.  But to bring it to the meeting last night...was not called for. So that did not impress me. But looking at the overall of the concerns from all of the speakers, I feel they were heard...but probably not received by the 'dead' ears of the Trustees.  So yes, the crusade continues and a 'watchful' eye needs to be continued.

Again, it was my pleasure to meet you.  I love your happy spirit.

Hey Bill...it's me...Deborah...and it was such a pleasure to meet you down at the DISD headquarters. You are just what I expected...a man of character...a man who will stand up and speak out...and not allow names like: Coors Middle School...[your remark]; or Jack Daniel Elementary; or Pepsi...the New Generation High School, [my remark]a...just to name a few...to have names placed on Historical Institutions. But since we are on name changing and the highest bidder for donations...why doesn't DISD campaign to have their name changed to: "The Senseless, Unorganized, Unfair, Unequal, and Unjust Dallas ISD."  Now they could probably could get "big bucks" for their facility...and it's new name...hahahaha!  And we all may need to donate some of our Social Security checks to make this happen!...lol.Good night my new Friend Bill. And Continue the Crusade.

      Deborah

Please read my comment on Cecil's blog.  I piggy backed you. It will be my pleasure to meet another "concern" citizen of Historical issues.
