The passing of BTW teacher and coach Mr. Willie Hinson.

As always, please keep in prayer the family and loved ones.

Mr. Willie Hinson, beloved Booker T. Washington teacher and coach for many years, has passed away.
Mr. Hinson's wake service will be Friday, December 11 at 7:00 pm at Lincoln Funeral Home near IH 175 in Pleasant Grove, 8100 Fireside, Dallas, Texas 75217.
Funeral service for Mr. Hinson will be Saturday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 7550 S. Hampton Road, Dallas, TX 75232

    I'm sure you speak for many of us touched by Mr. Hinson, Dave. While I was never in a class of his nor coached by him in school, just Mr. Hinson's smile and greeting meant loads to me each time we spoke. He smiled and spoke like I was one of his best friends, and many days that was much-needed medicine that made a great day.

    Just my casual interactions with him like that will make me miss being on the same planet with him. But then we've got that great reunion in Heaven, forever!

    The passing of Mr. Hinson grieves me deeply. He was a mentor and very close friend. He guided me personally and professionally. The college degrees that I hold today are in direct line with the influence he had on my life. My sympathy and love go out to his family, and may our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, be with you during this time.
