Mildred DeLois Spivey passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at the age of 72. She was born on Mary 25, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, to Milton Stewart and Zona Gale Tennell Stewart. Mildred loved crocheting and doing crafts. She has resided in the Katy and Richmond area since 1991.
She is survived by her daughter, Sha’Ron Johnson and her husband Jasper of Richmond, Texas; grandson, Joel Johnson of Houston, Texas; granddaughters, Krista Johnson of Houston, Texas, and Amanda Ewing and her husband Quaylon also of Houston, Texas; great grandchildren, Arianah Johnson, Skylar Ewing, Raegan Harris, Jayceon Johnson, and Kadin Green; sisters, Carrye Parker and her husband Bobby, Letha Nnagbo, and La Nell Jarmon, all of Houston, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, in Katy, where funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017, with Pastor Kevin Barber, Pastor David Ned, and Minister Derrick Smith officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home’s reception suite.
My condolences to the Stewart and Spivey family. May the Lord your steps as you experience, the life of a longed one. Mildred's nephew Jay Stewart is a very good friend of my son. They both went to Huston Tillitson College. We consider like apart of our family. Thanks for the info. campus.
