Remembering Arthur "Pop" Sneed

The Booker T. Washington family mourns the loss of our joyful schoolmate Arthur Charles "Pop" Sneed, who passed away Monday morning. Many may remember Pop Sneed as a starting varsity football player on several of Booker T.'s notable years on the gridiron.

Pop, whose little brother Eddie was one of my best friends in elementary school, seemed to always be a gentle man with a big ready smile. He, like all of our departed BTW Bulldogs, will be missed by many.

Please keep the Sneed family in your prayers.

  • "Pop" played at the center position on the line, and I remember him sharpening those skills
during the summer days on the park in Roseland Homes. I want to extend my "Deepest and
Heartfelt Sympathy to Eddie, sister and the rest of the Sneed Family. My prayers are for you!
