Galen, all of our friends are correct...your care and concern for this BTW family is a window to your soul.
Thank you for a beautiful tribute to mothers, but most of all we are thankful that you let the influence of your mom be your guide. Please know that you are an encouragement to us...your banner over us is love!
Taking Care Of Mama
Three sons left home, went out on their own and prospered. Getting back together, they discussed the gifts they were able to give their elderly mother.
The first said: "I built a big house for our mother."
The second said: "I sent her a Mercedes with a driver."
The third said: "You remember how mom enjoys reading the Bible. Now she can't see very well. So I sent her a remarkable parrot that recites the entire Bible. It took elders in the church 12 years to teach him, he's one of a kind. Mama just has to name the chapter and verse and the parrot recites it."
Soon thereafter, Mom sent out her letters of thanks....
"Milton," she said, "the house you built is so huge. I live only in one room, but I have to clean the whole house."
"Gerald," she said, "I am too old to travel. I stay most of the time at home so I rarely use the Mercedes. And that driver is so rude! He's a pain!"
"And my dearest, Donald," she said, "the chicken was delicious!"
I HOPE YOU ALL THE MOM'S HAD A GLORIOUS DAY!!

Well, I must also reflect on my mom , Mathomia Hill. She too, was the most spectacular woman I have ever known. I difinitely would not be the woman I am today without her guidance and strength. She taught me everything I know. We were two females amongst nine males, but we handled them..." lol" ~
And, if it wasn't for my son, Chucky...I wouldnt be a mom (turn it upside down..you get) WOW!

Those are precious pictures with you and the grandbabies. Because you chose to be a mother to their parents, the world now has seven new souls to enrich it. Thank you for again saying the kindest words about my Mom.
Chuck, since jump you have had a way of helping me feel I can climb a mountain, buddy! I found out a long time ago that for me encouragement and love are about the two most valuable intangibles in all creation after God's grace and mercy, and I thank all of you mightily for yours.
Glo, thank you again for your big encouragement. It's clear how much of a precious jewel your first Mother's Day card to your mother is. I'd love to be able to remember my first one.
M is for the million things she gave me,
