Trayvon Martin

Social injustice toward a people has its "Genesis Point" with keeping a people in poverty through the means of physical and mental oppressions. The Trayvon Martin's case has its roots in these methods as follows: First, He was racially profile as a black person. This "mental cancer" of using race has been use throughout the history of mankind. Consequentially, when you add this "mental cancer" with physical intimations methods such as lynching, police brutality, attack dogs, and now laws such as Florida's "Stand Your Ground Law", you create mental and physical conditions of hatred toward one group of people. Add to this the fact of carryings out these tactics over a long period of time-in our case over five hundred years-help encourage the attitude of one group feeling as though they have the right to deny another group the the rights they themselves enjoy. On the other hand the group whose rights are being denied develops an inferior complex of fear toward attaining the rights that are their by birthright, regardless of race ,class, or ethicality. Trayvon Martin's case is one of countless oppressive incidents through time with roots in these methods; and as a result, continue to create grave consequents on all of America.

  • Right on Brother Carl. This is why it pains me to see our Black singers and Rapper brothers ,have the half naked white women HANDING all over them. In their grandparents, and in my youth I remember Black men being HANGED for less. They need to be told about EMMETT TILL being HUNGED by white men for whisting at a white woman. I know most of them do not want to hear this they call it the old days. Trayvon Martin's case shows them it is not.
