Yes, Carolyn. My brothers, Glenn and Butch, worked together at my fathers shop painting all types of signs from taxi cabs to real estate and all types of businesses.
I am looking forward to attending the reunion in October and meeting all of my school chums.
Hi George! I didn't know your father painted that sign on Papa Dads...thanks for that valuable history. I know when you look at this picture, it only brings wonderful and fun memories to your soul. I know it does for me, because me and my sisters too catered to Papa Dad's as many of the campus family did. It kind of gives me a feeling of a strong foundation...here....and then gone...but never forgotten!
Carolyn, I know, right? Q today somehow just does not smell nor taste as good as then. Anyway, thank God for today, huh? Enjoy your evening. I hope to see you Wednesday!
I would love to be able to smell this 'q' right now. Or I might want some Henderson Honey fried chicken with the peppers and the pickles.....Oh, wow...Im hungry, waiting on Chinese food to arrive. I need to be eating soup, but that was all day yesterday.
HAHAHAHAHAHA......Yea Girl !!!!!!!! That's Barbra S. Evelyn you are on it !!!! I love all of her songs. I am dying over here....HAHAHAHAHA....AH,AH,AH. I'm crying Evelyn...crying too because "YOU" are singing with me. I love it........I love it......I love it! To continue: "The young become the old, and mysteries do unfold, cause that's the way of time, nothing and no one goes unchanged. There are many things in life, you can be sure of...that rain comes from the clouds, sunlight lights up the sky and hummingbirds do fly. Winter turns to Spring; a wounded heart will heal, and nothing unsure, but everything must change, {that's the way of "Time."} Nothing goes unchanged. There are many things in life that you can be sure of, is simply the sun, as it lightens up the sky and the butterflies that fly...etc! (I hope I got it all...I just put on Barbra Streisand's CD. That was a good one girl...thanks for the inspiration for me to go back and listen to that song...I love that song.
I know, right? I will continue to post them, as I receive them. I'll sing along with ya, Could it be that things were all so simple then, or has time rewritten every line.....now, your turn,Deb
OMG! Where are you all getting these pictures. Do you all really....really know just what precious and valuable pictures you all have? Can't you just smell the barbeque? Somebody needs to compile a video of all of these history making pictures that impacted a lot of our lives. Galen, Chuck,Buddy, David and anybody who has this skill....I will "defer" this over to you. Think on these things. For we forget, but pictures can still tell a story of whence we come. I love memories...don't get me to singing again..ha, ha, ha...
